I can listen to  the birds in the morning when I wake up.

I can also see a beautiful scene in the morning which announces to me what kind of clothes I should use that day. 

My shoes

That is a funny picture because my shoes look like kids shoes.

However, I love my sport shoes

They are very comfortable to use in the weekend.

My fridge

Fortunately! This picture was taken after I went to the supermarket.

I had felt bad if my fridge look like new, that means empty.

My fridge has fruits, water, milk and more fruits and more water...

Ah!!! and more milk.

One of my activities of the whole day

One of my activities was that I went to meet a new baby. 

His name is Gabriel. He is a beautiful and happy baby.

His parents are my friends and they are so happy with their baby.

I enjoy this kind of activity 

because a baby is an angelic and innocent little being human.




An object in my hand

The object that I chose was my racket.

Truly, I wasn't sure if I wanted to take a picture 

of the activity (my tennis match) or the object (my racket).

Nonetheless, I chose my racket  because I feel a big connection with it.

I love to play tennis! That is my favorite hobby.

I hope anxiously for good weather to enjoy a tennis game.

My desktop computer screen

This is my favorite picture!

I thought! A picture of my desktop computer screen is completely boring.

However, I was watching on my computer one of the jokes that my mother used to send to me. I was laughing when I thought about it. It could be a good picture on my computer.  That was so funny because this little girl was talking and talking. The joke consisted in it explaining the differences between men and women. Women talk, talk and talk like this little girl........she didn't stop talking. 

I wrote and draw something on a white sheet of paper

This is less like me!

I'm sorry! But I don't have a good imagination to make this picture.

I tried to do something creative, but I think it was impossible.(My teacher told me I'm very creative)

I BELIEVE

Arrogance, presumption, aggressiveness are strong words.

Nevertheless, all these words can said in one good word “self-assurance.”

I believe in self-assurance; it is the good way to achieve everything you want.

In our personal life, our job, our knowledge

can be obtained with self-assurance .

Our present, our past, our future

can be acquired with self-assurance.

Our motivations, our goals, our regards

can be earned with self-assurance.

When I was a child in primary school,

I had a little trouble in my learning.

It was a “small stone” to me and my mother.

However, now I can laugh at that situation.

I will try to explain one of them with a simple example.

When I wanted to write something,

I confused the letter “b” with the letter “d.”

That meant that if  I wanted to write “dog” (animal),  I wrote “bog” (swamp)

Can you image that! That was horrible!

If I wanted to write “My dog is sick,”

I wrote “My bog is sick.”

Two completely different sentences !

In addition,  if I had to read my sentences,

everybody laughed at them!

However, I had incredible teachers

Who always helped me with my problem.

They talked with my mother and both did good team-work to help me.

The truth is I don’t remember what the exact moment was

in which I overcome  my problem,

but now I don’t have the same problem.

I also remember I had not felt bad about that.

My mother and my teacher taught me that

I should always have “self-assurance.”

I think that was the main reason which

I didn’t feel embarrassed about my deficiency.

A long the way, I have learned that the “self-assurance”

is one of the keys to become our dreams in reality.

My mother has been my mentor, my real inspiration,

Like Mohamed Gandhi was the inspiration of the freedom in India

Or Steve Jobs was the inspiration to graphic technology

Or Isaac Newton  was the inspiration to gravity.

She has always had self-assurance although

she has gone through some difficulties.

However, she is happy, joyful and successful.

To me if we have “self-assurance.”,  we will have “Inspiration.”

Inspiration to achieve our personal and particular goals,

Inspiration to learn about our past mistakes

and these will become in better actions in our future,

Inspiration to everything around our life can be supported with “self-assurance.”

Although everybody wants to achieve their dreams or goals,

not everybody can do it.

Sometimes different situations are a big obstacle.

However, in my family we use to say "I  would rather die in the attempt".

I think, that can also be called “self-assurance”.

I BELIEVE

I believe in my mother

She is strong, smart, and self-sufficient.

She is delicate, proud, and lovely.

I have one older brother and one younger brother.
Mom always told us “forward not backward to gain momentum”.

She is always our base supporting and fighting for our best future,

She taught us to identify the correct way to walk.

She wanted us to be good people who should provide a little seed in our society,

If we suffered, she suffered.

If we laughed, she laughed.

If we were happy, she was happy.

Mom today, tomorrow, and all time is looking for our best present and future.

I have learned that in the best and the worst, my mother is always with me.
Mom has been the best friend and my best teacher during my life.

Because my Mom taught me to trust myself, 

I believe in myselve,

I feel that I had achieved all my dreams. 

I feel that I can achieve more.

I feel happy and proud of myself

Valentine's Day

It is a moment to share a big hug and smile of happiness.
It is a moment to be grateful for our family and friends.
It is a moment to say "Thank you for everything" because everybody give us a little grain of happiness.

MY LITANY

You are the light and the sun,   

the darkness and the moon.   

You are the water on the dessert   

and the stars of the sky.   

You are the pen of the writer   

and the words suddenly flowing.   

However, you are not the character in the children history,   

the drawing on the famous picture,   

or the letter of book.   

And you are certainly not the colorful-blue sea.   

There is just no way you are the colorful-blue sea.   

It is possible that you are the shadow under the tree,   

maybe even the flower on the table,   

but you are not even close   

to being the fruit of a tree.   

And a quick look in the mirror will show   

that you are neither glass wine in the bar   

nor the sun falling late afternoon.   

It might interest you to know,   

speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world,   

that I am ride a horse in the meadow.   

I also happen to be the seed growing ,   

the fruits harvest,   

and the sand in the dessert.   

I am also the water in the river   

and the sweater’s kid.   

But don't worry, I am not the light and the sun.

TOLERANCE



Flowers resist the rain and the sun, the light and the darkness as a humanity should tolerate our differences.

Flowers protect themselves throught their strong roots, soft sheets and delicate petals as we should take care ourselves. 

Flowers growing between different flowers, trees and montains as man and woman should live.

MY FAVORITE PLACE

My mother bought a little house in a town named Fusa. In that town my mother, grandmother, uncles, aunts, older brother and some of my cousins were born, but I never imagined that it could be my favorite place.  I remember when my brothers and I were children, my mother said to us,  “Hurry up! We are going to Fusa.” We wanted to escape because we didn’t like to go. After some years it has changed for us. Now, it is my favorite place. It’s the place where I have had the most memorable moments of my life.

              My mother is the oldest sister, but she is also the family leader.  Our most important celebrations at Fusa are Christmas and Easter week. My family from different parts of Colombia, go at this time. If every one of them can’t go, we miss him or her because those moments are special to all of us. Even though those are the most important celebrations, we also share different activities such a simple dinner, a game, listening to music or a good conversation. For me when I stay in Fusa a feel a big relax and peace. Fortunately, after a hard week of work, we used to go to Fusa.

When I started dating with my boyfriend, I told him “You need to know my Fusa home. It is not the US. It is a little house in a little town, but you will enjoy it”. I think that he was completely convinced by my words after he experimented it. I think for me and my family, Fusa is our favorite place.

I have attached some pictures from Fusa and of my home there. It is known for good cyclers, diversity of fruits and a famous sculpture of a native man standing at the entrance of it and for.

A Little Princess

 My name was chose by my grandmother. Occasionally, some people have told me that my name is from Arabia, others from Pakistan and the others from Egypt. Anyway! Each person has their version. However, I have never wanted to investigate about the meaning and origin from y name. Now, I can say It’s wonderful know about my name.

“Soraya” is from Arabia and Persia. Its meaning is “Princess”. It’s the name was given to an Afghanistan Princess who was married to Afghanistan king in 1899 http://www.afghanistan-photos.com/crbst_32.html. “Soraya” also was the second wife of Mohammad Reza Pahlavin of Iran in 1932 http://www.bakhtiarifamily.com/soraya.php. In addition, “Soraya” was a Colombian-American pop singer who was so famous in the world and she died in 2006 of breast cancer. http://www.soraya.com/.

Although there histories are interesting to me, I have always loved my name without knowing about them. I have always thought that my name is unique, sophisticated and kindly. When I was studying every body had common names Sandra, Patricia, Danilo, Juan and Jorge. Finally, my name has been given to important women in history. How interesting!


On the other hand, another aspect about my personality is like a horse. A horse is free but likes to share with others. It’s friendly but it’s shy. It’s happy, but it’s strong. It’s elegant, but it’s not complicated. I love horses because they are intelligent animals that wishing walk freely around the world. They can see different scenarios, people, cultures and situations. However, if a horse doesn’t like something, it can run, escape or jump. That is the ways to demonstrate that they are disagree with something. They feel when something is bad because they are smart animals aware of good and evil in the world.

Everything I wrote here describes my personality. I am a little woman like a princess but I have also a personality like a horse. I have always been going to forward. I like when people care me, but I also like take care of my family and friends. The most important people in my life are my family. After my family are my friends. I have few friends, but they are the best friends. I always wish the best things for my family and friends. Moreover, I like to feel free to express my ideas and behaviors. I don’t like to think everything before say it. That mean to me can be spontaneous and honesty. That mean can be “free”. Finally, I enjoy nature with a lot of colors, silent noises and frugal odors. I love places where I can see flowers, trees, water and birds. I avoid noisy places, big buildings and anything that interrupt my interior peace. Due to I believe in the law of compensation, I have tried to have the best behaviors and thoughts with the others. I’m not perfect, but I try to be better each day. That is me!
